The Plot

Much like the Location Cards steadily build a unique dungeon each game for the players to explore, the Plot Cards likewise build a unique story for each play-through.

“Plot” in this case refers to something other than simply chaining encounters–instead, it refers to hidden motivations of the players, background stories, and revealed connections or relationships that the players must role-play. Even the final villain(s) and their motives are uncertain, for they could just as easily prove to be an adventuring party member.

Exclusive Cards

Once a card with any form of “Exclusive” text has been played, no other cards with the same exact “Exclusive” text may be played afterwards. (For example, once a Plot card with the text “Exclusive – Crisis 1A” has been played, no other “Crisis 1A” cards may be played.) If a Player attempts to play such a card, it is instead placed directly into the discard pile.
